In the spirit of Andres Bonifacio’s revolutionary heroism, Sinagbayan restages “Pitong Sundang: Mga Sayaw sa Lupa at Pakikibaka” with shows on November 29 (3 and 7pm) and a special gala and Bonifacio exhibit opening on Nov. 30 (6 pm) at the University of the Philippines (UP Diliman), CSWCD Bulwagang Tandang Sora. Two shows on December 6- 7 (7pm) will be staged at the Polytechnic University of the Philippines (PUP Sta. Mesa) Bulwagang Balagtas. “Pitong Sundang” features contemporary dance pieces on the life and struggles of the peasantry based on poems by Ericson Acosta, Alan Jazmines and Reuel Molina Aguila. With choreography by Lorelei Bulan and Ekis Gimenez, lights by Katsch Catoy, visual design by Rowena Bayon and Iggy Rodriguez, and original music from Talahib. Directed by Edwin Quinsayas.
